This book teaches you what a trademark is.... not how to register one. I was looking for something to explain the whole process of registering a trademark as it is a little confusing, but all this book does is define what a trademark is and such.
Mr. Tingen seems to have earned his legal knowledge with the technology age in mind. It is easy to see from this e-book that understands the importance of trademarks in the technological world. This e-book defines trademark and what makes strong rights if you are considering pursuing a trademark. He covers the trademark search and the meaning of the results, which probably confuses most business owners. It is great information. Finally the registration process is covered, and well done. A great deal for only $0.99.
As a retired attorney starting a new retail business, I have no experience with trademark. This book provides a good, initial overview. Since we are only going to have one location, I am going to follow up on state registration. Worth mant times 99 cents.
Very nice introduction to trademark law. It discusses the qualities of a good trademark and then what is required to protect your trademark. It contains enough information to allow you to register your own trademark, but there is also a discussion about what to look for in hiring an attorney, if necessary. The writing style is like what you would get in talking with a real life attorney; informal, but highly informative.
