Well simplified and short read for many that are interested in subject. For a more scientific approach, read dr Fung's book.While at it, I would like to point some things worth checking that I'm not sure myself that those are truth. First, Dr Fung is not the inventor of the 5:2 Diet but it is Dr. Mosley. Secondly, and this is a big one - the key premise around Intermittent fasting is not the decreased number of calories. It's the insulin management. I think it should be better explained as it is the key of understanding why Intermittent fasting works.

It is a decent basic book on IF. Something you should read if you are just thinking about the idea of intermitten fasting to get a concise idea of the science behind it. If you are looking for a book that delves into why this works and the specific scientific studies that back it up then this is not the book you need. Think of this book as more of a cliff notes for intermittent fasting.

This just makes so much sense. It’s backed up by research. I have already lost 30 pounds. If you struggle with weight loss this will tell you why it is hormones not a character defect. It will tell you what to do about it. It will explain why fasting is easier than dieting. I recommend it.

I am a newbie with intermittent fasting and this book was perfect! It was simple yet informative...

So far I have liked ALL the books that I have read on intermittent fasting and this book is included in this My there be many more published book on this subject THANK YOU

Looks like she just took the info from other books and copied. Also she is wrong about a few things. Ex: she states you cannot have alcohol on a keto diet. Not true, one can stay in ketosis with some dry wines and spirits.

Good intro book, but you will want to upgrade to a book written by a physician soon after reading.

Very helpful, easy to read & understand & I liked the common sense approach & flexibility for different people.
